OverTheWire Wargames

I found this fun hacker game website called OverTheWire, it can help me learn and practice my Linux skills.

It has many different wargames that you can choose.

I started with the Bandit game and I have finished the game today, which is for Linux beginners to get familiar with the Linux system and its basic commands.

The Bandit has over 30 levels, and each level has a puzzle that you need to solve to obtain the password to the next level.

It's been a while, I finished the Leviathan game today. It's about Linux commands, mostly used is the ltrace.

2022-05-22

Finished all 6 of Krypton today. It's about cryptography and it's a bit hard for me, I googled some of the answers.

It also touches the hexdump and xor operation.

2022-06-11

I decided to stop playing Wargames after finishing Krypton.

The next levels are all based on C programming, it's not my main language and I don't have enough knowledge to solve them.
